UPDATE after the Meeting of Delegates dd. 05.05.2017.

• The Meeting of Delegates changed the Constitution.      Although this was already decided upon in 2015, there can now be no misunderstandings about the fact that, with the exeption of Germany, more than one club per country can apply for IFR-Membership.

• The regulations on the organization of the World Championship were updated.

• The regulations on the organization of the World Show were updated.

• All Member Clubs must issue breeding regulations that include a minimum (18 months) and maximum (9 years) age for all breeding dogs.

Mandatory testing on JLPP in Australia

On 15.06.2017 we were informed by our Australian memberclub as follows :

The NRC(A) would like to advise the IFR of the following;  As from the 1st July, 2017 it will be mandatory that all Rottweilers prior to being used for breeding in Australia be tested for JLPP (Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis Polyneuropathy) and that all NRC(A) State Member Clubs and their members will now be following these ruling.  The NRC(A) Executive will also be in discussions with the ANKC and would hope shortly that all Rottweiler Breeders in Australia will be under the same rule.   Please find attached a copy of the NRC(A) JLLPP Scheme.

First short report on the IFR event 04 - 07.05.2017

Dear Rottweiler Friends,

I hope that everyone, all delegates and all participants and/or spectators of the IFR World Show, have returned home safely and I sincerely thank the organizing Serbian Rottweilerclub for its efforts to make it a succesful event that attracted Rottweiler Friends from so many countries from all over the world.

The following documents (amongst others) will be discussed at the Meetings in Serbia 04 - 05.05.2017

The following documents (and others) were sent to all IFR-Delegates and the representatives of candidate Memberclubs to be discussed at the Meetings of 04.05.2017 and 05.05.2017 in Serbia :

- a laymans walk through basic canine genetics and genetic diseases  (text is also available in Spanish)

- a proposal concerning minimum age of breeding dogs (male and female)

- a draft of what an IFR assessment of social behavior could be like (and texts on the Swiss assessments)

- a proposal to adapt the regulations on the organization of the IFR World Championship

- a proposal to adapt the regulations on the organization of the IFR World Show.

All Delegates were invited to the Meeting of Delegates dd. 05.05.2017.

All Delegates of IFR-Memberclubs and those who sent an application for IFR-Membership received repeated invitations for the Meeting of Breed Wardens dd. 04.05.2017 and for the Meeting of Delegates dd. 05.05.2017 (11.00 h, Desankin Venac bb, 34000 Kragujevac, Serbia).
